cheep guns for shtf MN 91/30 762x54r

im going to do a series on cheep firearms for the survivalist on a budget.
If you look at you tube ans hunt around for guns in a shtf situation, there is always a post on the MN 91/30. its a russan riffel with a boat load of history. it was in several wars but is most nted as the gun that stopped the nazi in stalingrad. and was the center of the film enemy at the gate.
Well I agree with the youtubers. this is a fantastic weapon. very accurate cheep and ammo is every place and yes cheep! I buy 440 rounds in a spam can for under 100 bucks at gun shows. I buy it cheep and stack it deep.I currently have three of them two standard size and a paratrooper version a carbine.
the gun sells for around 100 bucks new in box it comes with a bayonet, ammo pouch, cleaning kit, oil can and sling. now remember the gun is over 100 years old and and not the nicest looking thing in the world. but will get the job done, its a great fire arm for killing a animal to feed your family its powerful enough to down a bear. the round is in between a 308 and a 30/06 so yes it carries a kick. but the gun is rugged, heavy, and accurate. but most of all cheep! the main down side is it needs cleaned the second you are done shooting it the ammo is corrisive and will rust the barrel quick.
the carbine is a bit more expensive and rarer that the normal it sells in the $180 - 200 range. and a hex reciever version is a little bit more as well they are a bit rarer and collectible.
so to recap. the MN 91/30 is a great rifel to have incase of emergency. ammo is cheep, the gun its self is about 100 bucks accurate and all what else do you need?
